The journey moves south → central Vietnam → north, with two domestic flights to connect the regions. Da Nang is your three-night base for Hoi An, Ba Na Hills and Hue; Hanoi is your base for a Halong Bay day cruise. There are eight hotel nights, with no overnight cruise in the sample programme.

Halong Bay and Hanoi: spend a day among limestone formations, enjoy lunch aboard the cruise and return to the same Hanoi hotel. Keep the next day free for neighbourhood walks, cafés, shopping or an extra experience arranged around your interests.

Travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang by air, use Da Nang as your base for Hoi An, Ba Na Hills and a Hue day trip, then fly to Hanoi for a Halong Bay day cruise and a free city day. The sample has eight hotel nights: two in Ho Chi Minh City, three in Da Nang and three in Hanoi.
No. Domestic and international flights are excluded from this sample price. The route needs Ho Chi Minh City–Da Nang on Day 3 and Da Nang–Hanoi on Day 6. Vietpower Travel can help arrange suitable flight times and include the airfares separately in your written quotation.
This itinerary includes a day cruise with lunch and returns to your Hanoi hotel that evening. For a cabin night on the bay, ask us to replace the day trip with a Halong Bay overnight cruise and adjust the surrounding days.
Airport transfers are by private car. The listed sightseeing days use shared transfers and guided excursions. If you prefer a private vehicle and guide throughout, request that version when you send your dates and group size; we will quote the difference clearly.
Yes, with the pace chosen around your group. Tell us the children’s ages and anyone’s mobility needs. Cu Chi has confined tunnel sections, Ba Na has substantial walking and cable cars, and the Hue excursion is a long road day. We can make tunnel entry optional, lighten sightseeing or add a Hue night in a longer itinerary.
Neither is in this nine-day sample. Day 2 combines Ho Chi Minh City sightseeing with Cu Chi Tunnels. If the Mekong Delta or Cao Dai Temple is a priority, we will add time or replace an excursion instead of squeezing an extra region into an already full day.
We plan for your actual dates because the south, central coast and north have different weather patterns. Central Vietnam can have rainy or stormy spells later in the year, while northern winter days can feel cool. Welcome to Saigon. Meet your driver at Tan Son Nhat Airport and transfer to your hotel. Take the rest of the day at your own pace after the flight. Enjoy a neighbourhood walk, a café or the city’s evening atmosphere if you feel ready; guided sightseeing is scheduled for tomorrow. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Begin with Ho Chi Minh City’s history: the Reunification Palace, the Central Post Office and the War Remnants Museum, with an exterior view of Notre Dame Cathedral. After lunch, travel to Cu Chi for an introduction to the tunnel network and its wartime stories. Explore the surface displays and a visitor tunnel section if you wish; entering a confined tunnel is optional. Return to your Ho Chi Minh City hotel. This day follows the city and Cu Chi programme; Cao Dai Temple and Tay Ninh are not added to the same schedule.
Transfer to the airport for your morning flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang. On arrival, meet the transfer and continue to Cam Thanh’s coconut waterways for a basket-boat experience. Explore Hoi An’s old town, including its merchant-house heritage, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and the Japanese Covered Bridge area. Enjoy dinner, then the Hoai River’s lantern atmosphere, a boat outing and time around the night market. Return to Da Nang for the first of three hotel nights. The flight time is chosen to allow this afternoon and evening programme; flights are priced separately.
Travel from Da Nang to Ba Na Hills and ascend by cable car into the mountain scenery. Walk the Golden Bridge, enjoy the gardens and Linh Ung Pagoda, and explore the French Village. Lunch and time at Fantasy Park follow the confirmed day-tour arrangement. Return by cable car and transfer to your Da Nang hotel. Separately ticketed attractions and paid games are optional; we confirm the ticket inclusions before you book.
Set out for Hue with the Hai Van and Lang Co coastal scenery on the journey. Visit Khai Dinh Tomb, enjoy lunch and explore the Imperial Citadel’s courtyards, gates and stories of the Nguyen dynasty. Continue to Thien Mu Pagoda by the Perfume River before returning to Da Nang for your third hotel night. This is a full road and heritage day, with the final order planned around conditions. A longer trip can include a Hue overnight stay if you prefer a lighter pace.
After breakfast, transfer to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Hanoi. Meet your driver at Noi Bai Airport and continue to the hotel. Spend the remaining time as you please: relax after the flight or get your first taste of Hanoi’s streets and cafés. Overnight in Hanoi. The domestic airfare is excluded from the displayed sample price and quoted separately.
Depart Hanoi for Halong Bay and board your day cruise. Enjoy limestone island scenery and lunch on board, with a cave stop and kayaking or swimming where offered by the confirmed boat and permitted by conditions. Return to the harbour and travel back to your Hanoi hotel that evening. There is no overnight cabin in this sample itinerary; boat route and activities are confirmed for your travel date.
Enjoy breakfast and a full free day in Hanoi. Explore the Old Quarter, walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, browse shops or find your favourite café at your own pace. If you want a guided city visit, a food experience or another excursion, tell Vietpower Travel and we will arrange it in your personal quotation. Overnight in Hanoi; guided sightseeing is not included on this free day.
Enjoy breakfast and any free time that fits your flight. Your driver transfers you to Noi Bai Airport for departure, allowing for the agreed check-in schedule. Hotel check-out follows the confirmed policy; late check-out can be requested and quoted separately. Leave with the memories of three very different sides of Vietnam.

This sample runs from Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City to Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi. Send us both international flight times before booking the domestic legs so we can coordinate arrivals, hotel nights and the central Vietnam excursions.
At Cu Chi, you can enjoy the surface exhibits without entering a confined tunnel. Ba Na and the Citadel involve walking; tell us about mobility needs before we choose the arrangements. Modest clothing is appropriate at pagodas and heritage sites.
For Halong Bay, keep a small day bag with sun protection and a change of clothes if the confirmed cruise offers water activities. Follow the crew’s instructions, and let us know if you prefer to stay on board. Your main luggage can remain at your Hanoi hotel for the day.
