One city base, then one island base. Cai Be and Vinh Long form a river-and-village day trip from Ho Chi Minh City. Returning to the city that evening gives you a straightforward airport departure the next day. Once you reach Phu Quoc, you stay on the island for the beach and boat experiences, with no city detour in between.
In the Mekong Delta, the appeal is the slower rhythm: rowing through narrow waterways, tasting orchard fruit and watching traditional food-making. On Phu Quoc, it is a different kind of freedom: warm sea air, island swimming stops and an unhurried evening by the beach.

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City. Your driver meets you at Tan Son Nhat Airport (SGN) for a private transfer to your hotel. Settle in, rest after your journey or explore the city at your own pace. Airport transfer is with a driver, without a guide.

After breakfast, leave Ho Chi Minh City for Cai Be, typically around two hours by road before local stops. Explore river life by boat, then take a sampan into smaller waterways. Local market activity depends on the morning and the trading pattern on your travel date.
Continue through the An Binh / Vinh Long area for village workshops where traditional rice paper, coconut sweets or popped rice are made. Enjoy a local lunch, visit an orchard and listen to traditional music. Gentle village cycling can be arranged for those who wish; the day can be adapted for your group.
Visit the riverside craft area before returning by road from Vinh Long to Ho Chi Minh City. This city return puts you in the right place for tomorrow’s flight.

After breakfast, take a private transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport (SGN) for your flight to Phu Quoc (PQC). Flying time is typically about one hour; your final schedule will allow for airport check-in and transfers. The domestic airfare is quoted separately.
On arrival, your driver transfers you to your island hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure: unwind beside the sea, enjoy the hotel facilities or find a favourite place for sunset. Lunch and dinner are yours to choose.

After breakfast, join the morning hotel pickup for your southern islands speedboat excursion. A pearl farm visit can be included en route to An Thoi harbour. Enjoy island stops around Gam Ghi, May Rut Trong and May Rut Ngoai, with time for snorkelling, swimming, sandy shores and an island lunch.
For travellers who want more adventure, sea walking, SUP and drone photography can be requested as optional experiences.
