Hear the soft rhythm of the Mekong in Luang Prabang, watch limestone hills slip past a Laos train window and wake with Ha Long’s islands outside your cabin. Finish among Hoi An’s lantern-lit streets, fresh herbs and nearby ancient temples, with five nights in one welcoming base.
This 18-day Laos and Vietnam heritage journey brings two countries together through places you can linger in. Separate days for Kuang Si and Pak Ou, two nights in Vang Vieng and comfortable stays in the cities give the famous sights room to become personal memories.

Begin with four nights in Luang Prabang: temple roofs and old trading streets one day, Kuang Si’s forest and turquoise pools another, then a Mekong boat journey to Pak Ou. Continue by daytime train to Vang Vieng’s karst countryside and on to Vientiane, where gilded That Luang and the evening riverfront reveal a different side of Laos.
Discover Hanoi with a regional guide, connecting its historic landmarks with the everyday energy around the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. Then exchange the streets for a shared bay vessel: lunch among limestone islands, an afternoon following the cruise programme and a cabin night on the water. Return to Hanoi for a relaxed evening before flying to central Vietnam.
Unpack for old-town stories, a garden and cooking experience, the Cham temples of My Son and the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills. Guided visits and private transfers give the days structure, while independent evenings leave you free to choose a riverside table, browse a small shop or simply enjoy the lanterns.
The sample combines private land transfers and regional guides with reserved seats on shared Laos trains, a shared local Mekong boat and a shared overnight bay vessel. The Ba Na Hills visit includes private transfers and time to explore independently. Hotel and cabin upgrades can be quoted around the experiences you want to keep.
From approximately US$2,130 per adult for the stated land-and-cruise sample, based on two adults sharing three-star hotel rooms and a bay cabin. All flights and baggage are separate. Your dates, room choices and personal adjustments determine the final quotation.

Four Luang Prabang nights allow separate days for the old town, Kuang Si and the Mekong. Two nights each in Vang Vieng and Vientiane follow, then Hanoi, a bay cruise and five Hoi An nights. The longer stays let you discover each place without repacking every morning.
The sample begins at Luang Prabang Airport in Laos and finishes at Da Nang Airport in Vietnam. Hoi An is reached by road from Da Nang. Share your international flight plans before booking so we can match the airport transfers to your dates.
It is an indicative adult land-and-cruise guide based on two adults sharing the sample three-star hotel rooms and bay cabin. It includes the stated stays, transfers, sightseeing, Laos train journeys, meals and admissions. All flights and baggage are separate. Your travel dates, hotel choices and final services determine the written quotation.
The Laos section uses shared daytime trains from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng and from Vang Vieng to Vientiane, with private station transfers. Day 9 flies Vientiane–Hanoi and Day 13 flies Hanoi–Da Nang. Those flights are quoted separately; there is no overnight train in this programme.
The listed land transfers and guided visits are private for your party. Laos trains are public services with reserved seats, and the overnight bay cruise is a shared vessel. The sample Pak Ou excursion uses a local shared boat with your guide. Ba Na Hills includes private transfers and independent time inside the complex, not a private cable car or guided day.
There are 17 nights: 16 in hotels and one aboard the shared bay cruise. The hotel bases are Luang Prabang four nights, Vang Vieng two, Vientiane two, Hanoi three and Hoi An five. Room and cabin categories are confirmed in your personal offer.
Most visits combine easy walks with vehicle transfers and breaks. Pak Ou requires boat boarding and steps; waterfalls, temple grounds and My Son can have uneven surfaces. Tell us about mobility needs so we can adjust the visits and hotel locations before you choose the final programme.
Five Hoi An nights include a guided old-town walk, a countryside garden and cooking experience with lunch, My Son Sanctuary and a Ba Na Hills day with standard cable-car admission. Evenings are independent. Extra attractions, drinks and activities outside the stated programme are optional.
Yes. This is a proposed journey, so Vietpower Travel can quote a different hotel level, a preferred bay cabin, shorter walks or a different balance of sightseeing and rest. Tell us what matters most and we will make the options clear in your personal offer.
Provide passport details through the booking process when requested, so tickets and travel documents use the correct names. Entry requirements depend on nationality, dates and the route. Visa and official entry fees are separate; Vietpower Travel helps you check the arrangements relevant to your trip before confirmation.
Send your dates, number of travellers, room preferences, arrival and departure plans, dietary needs and priorities. Your written offer will identify the hotels and cabin, private and shared services, included meals and tickets, separately priced flights, final total, payment and cancellation terms.
